THE KARLOVAC ADVENT VISITED BY 60.000 PEOPLE WHO SPENT HRK 1,5 MILLION

Over the last two weeks, compared to last year’s results, there has been an increase by 63% in overnight stays.

The Karlovac Advent is visited by 60.000 people who spent 1,5 million kuna.

The Karlovac Tourist Office data show an increase of 5.000 more visitors more than the last year. The total spending during the Advent period is 1,5 million kuna, estimated by the Tourist Office.

The food and goods offers of the Advent consisted of 10 gourmet booths and 5 goods selling booths. The event also had humanitarian aspect, collecting a 22.000 kuna donation for the NGO “Jak kao Jakov”

According to the eVisitor data, recorded through the period from December 14th to December 30th, there has been a 63% growth in overnight stays, compared to last year’s results. Also, there was a 36% increase in overnight stays for New Year’s Eve, and there was over 5.000 visitors for the New Year’s Eve celebrations in Karlovac.

The tourist office emphasized advertising on social media, targeting Croatia and Slovenia. “As with other events in 2019, our goal was to draw attention not only to the event, but to the complete destination offer. The campaign achieved very good results. There were over 7 million impressions on Google, the reach was over 510 thousand on social media, while on Youtube there were over 130.000 views of our ads.”-said the director of the Karlovac Tourist Office, Marina Burić.
